This picture from around 2 and a half years ago popped up while I was digging through my files. It was my first shoemaking experience ever and made me realize how fun it is to craft a shoe. Slowly and slowly my love towards it started to grow stronger and stronger. Just when I was about to go to my last year in uni, I made the decision to specialize and to graduate with shoes. Maybe one of the best decisions I have made this far.

Arnhems New Design Talent 2011

Arnhems New Design Talent or better known as Arnhemse Nieuwe highlights 9 graduates of different disciplines such as graphic design, fashion, architecture and product design from the Art Academy of Arnhem. This annual exhibition is organized by OPA (Design Platform Arnhem). OPA is one of the best know regional platforms for designers in The Netherlands. For this year’s edition I have been selected among 8 other graduates from ArtEZ.
